Updated Policy and Event Changes and Cancellations as of May 21, 2020:
If your License to Carry a Firearm expires after March 19, 2020, your License will be good through July 31, 2020. We are still accepting all applications in the lobby Monday through Friday from 10 AM until 2 PM, except holidays.
The Saturday June 6, 2020 License to Carry event at the Cranberry Township Municipal building is cancelled.
The Sheriff Sale scheduled for Friday May 15, 2020 has been rescheduled for Friday July 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Jury Assembly Room of the Government Center.
- Applications for a License to Carry a Firearm has moved to the Lobby of the Government Center. The hours are 10:00 AM through 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, except Holidays
- Everyone entering the Government Center will be screened prior to entry into the Lobby security entrance. Please have a mask available to you.

Basic Handgun Safety Class
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Basic Handgun Safety Course is completed for 2019. We should start back up in the spring of 2020 and will be accepting applications. The two-evening trainings are held at the Butler County Training room at 227 East Cunningham Street and at the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club in East Butler, PA for the firing range familiarization.
For those of you on the waiting list, please be patient. Our classes have been full and we are trying our best to accommodate everyone who has signed up.

Cranberry License to Carry
The Sheriff’s Office will be renewing and accepting License to Carry applications at the Cranberry Township Municipal Building’s Public Meeting Room between 9 am and 2 pm on the following 2020 Saturdays:

- October 3

Unionville / Center Township Firehall License to Carry
The Sheriff’s Office will be at the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company to renew and accept License to Carry applications between 9 am and 2 pm on the following 2020 Saturdays:
