About the Butler County Law Library
The Butler County Law Library is designed to assist the Court, Butler County Bar Association attorneys and County employees in obtaining access to legal information. Local attorneys may borrow books for a two-week period. The public may use the facilities; however, they may not borrow materials. Public access to the electronic information through Westlaw is also available.
The Law Librarian
The Law Librarian is permitted to assist the public in locating materials in performing their own legal research. However, under Pennsylvania law, the Law Librarian is not permitted to interpret the law or give legal advice on how to proceed in a Court of Law.
The Law Librarian does not have a supply of printed forms. However, the Library does have electronic resources that may be consulted for language and format in drafting your legal documents.
